Elijah’s Daily Wisdom – Tuesday, 09:09:2025
Yesterday, I was speaking with my nephew who had just completed his CXC exams. He found himself caught in that familiar place of uncertainty—unsure of what path to take next. He knew what he loved, yet the pressure of parental approval weighed heavily on him. He even felt guilty for simply resting, for taking time to breathe and gather strength before deciding on his next move.
This conversation reminded me of a principle many parents often miss. We repeat the old phrase, “life waits on no one,” and in doing so, we rush our children into hurried progress, mistaking pressure for guidance.
But today I want to declare a different truth: “Life is waiting on you.”
This statement is not just encouragement—it is revelation. It speaks directly to the authority your life carries and the divine purpose within you. Scripture itself confirms this: “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19, NKJV). Creation is literally awaiting your awakening.
Look at nature: a seed never breaks the soil until its hibernation is complete. Hidden beneath the surface, it draws strength, develops resilience, and prepares for the day it will rise. Likewise, we too have a hibernation process. It is in this space of rest and renewal that we gather the clarity, energy, and grit needed to give our next move 100% of our being.
So to parents: do not mistake rest for weakness in your children. Allow them the room to breathe, to think, to dream, and to grow.
And to youths: never feel guilty, unworthy, or oppressed for taking time to pause. Your rest is not wasted—it is essential preparation for your next stage, your next level, your next breakthrough.
Embrace your hibernation season with confidence. Rest in it. Live in it. And remember: life is not passing you by—life is patiently waiting on you.
